SEOUL, Nov. 9 (Korea Bizwire) — Lotte Department Store said Tuesday it will join hands with animal rescue organization We Act to keep abandoned dogs warm throughout the winter.
Temporary protection facilities in which rescued animals reside prior to adoption are often little more than cold shipping containers and require a separate heating device in the winter.
In response, the department store chain is starting a blanket donation campaign at six branch stores including the main branch, Cheongnyangni branch and Suwon branch from Nov. 11-20.
Blanket donors will receive discount coupons they can use to buy bedding until the end of this month.
Lotte Department Store will also host exhibitions to raise awareness about rescued abandoned dogs.
