SEOUL, Nov. 20 (Korea Bizwire) – Shinsegae Group announced on November 18 that it launched a toy library in Kwanyang traditional market in Gyeonggi Province. The library, which is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility activities, lends toys to children at the age of seven or younger free of charge and gives parents counselling for their children for free.
Any parents who work for or visit the market can freely stay at the library with their children. Local community members praise the service as children can play with various toys which are very expensive to buy nowadays, and parents can receive help from the institution about their childrearing. The department store plans to build about ten more libraries within traditional markets in other regions.
