HWACHEON, July 25 (Korea Bizwire) — The Hwacheon Tomato Festival is scheduled to take place in Hwacheon, Gangwon Province, from August 3 to 6, marking its 19th year.
The festival is being supported by the Army’s 15th Infantry Division, replacing the 27th Infantry Division.
The festival will feature six themes and some 40 programs.
The performance zone will host pre-opening celebrations, a 1000 pasta challenge, and taekwondo demonstrations.
In the event zone, the festival’s flagship activity will be “Find the Golden Ring,” where participants venture into a space brimming with tomatoes to search for a golden ring.
