SEOUL, Oct. 26 (Korea Bizwire) – A recent survey has revealed that LG Electronics leads in the category of home electronics most cherished by Korean consumers.
According to CEO Score, a corporate data research institute, LG secured the top position with 586 products out of a total of 3,600 ranked within the top 300 in Naver Shopping’s home electronics ranking across 12 product categories. Following LG, Samsung claimed second place with 490 products, and Philips followed in third place with 102 products.
This survey was conducted based on more than 5.7 million consumer reviews and star ratings, encompassing not only Naver Shopping but also various Naver-affiliated internet shopping platforms, including Coupang.
In the realm of refrigerators, LG stood out with 124 of its products ranking in the top 300, confirming the growing popularity of LG refrigerators among local consumers.
In the washing machine and dryer category, more than half of the top 300 products were LG products (158). Even in the categories of vacuum cleaners and seasonal home electronics, LG held a significant share with 40 and 34 products, respectively.

LG also achieved the highest star rating, boasting an average star rating of 4.85, surpassing Samsung’s rating of 4.84. In terms of the number of consumer reviews, Samsung took the top spot with 387,700, followed by LG with 266,463 and Philips with 223,222.
LG demonstrated a dominant presence in the so-called MZ home electronics categories popular among Millennials and Generation Z, including clothing care devices and beer brewing devices.
Among the ten MZ home electronics categories selected based on surveys from UnivTomorrow, Open Survey, and Gallup, LG secured the number one position in five categories, including air purifiers, dishwashers, beer brewing devices, clothing care systems, and clothes dryers.

Samsung came out on top in the induction range category. Roborock claimed the number one spot in the category of robot cleaners, while Inic led the list in the air fryer category. Hanmi Flexible and Nespresso each secured the top spot in the categories of food waste disposers and coffee machines, respectively.
