SEOUL, Jan. 10 (Korea Bizwire) — Hankook Tire & Technology Co. said Friday an international electric vehicle (EV) motorsport racing event will be held in Mexico City this week.
The 2025 Hankook Mexico City E-Prix, the second round of this year’s ABB FIA Formula E world championship, will be held in the Mexican capital on Saturday (local time).
The South Korean company has sponsored its EV racing tire, the Gen3 Evo Ion Race, for this year’s championship.
The race will take place at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit, situated at an altitude of 2,250 meters above sea level, presenting unique challenges due to its high-altitude conditions.
Hankook Tire highlighted that this venue underscores the importance of cutting-edge tire technology.
This year’s championship will feature 16 rounds of events across 10 major cities, including Mexico City, Shanghai, Berlin and London.
