SEOUL, April 8 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung will deliver a keynote speech at a U.S. forum expected to be attended by many key industry figures, including the top executive of General Motors Co. (GM), event organizers said.
The forum, Automotive News Congress, will be held Sept. 11 in Detroit under the theme “Driving the Future: Innovation and Transformation in the Global Automotive Industry,” according to Automotive News.
Participants at the forum will include GM Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mary Barra, who will also deliver a keynote speech, as well as officials from South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solution Ltd., S&P Global Mobility and many other firms, it added.
Hyundai Motor and GM signed an initial pact in December for joint production of passenger cars and development of eco-friendly energy technologies, such as electric and hydrogen. It marked Hyundai’s first comprehensive cooperation agreement with a major foreign carmaker.
