SEOUL, March 17 (Korea Bizwire) — The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has announced its 100th dispatch of Korean nationals overseas through the World Friends KOICA Volunteer program. The recruited volunteers will go through preparatory training at the Yongwol Education Center for 33 days. The 44 volunteers will then be dispatched to 12 assigned countries for two years of service.
Through the KOICA program, 10,365 Korean volunteers have taken part in projects in 44 countries, making Korea the second largest international volunteer sender after the U.S.A. The KOICA first started the program in 1999.
