SEOUL, April 9 (Korea Bizwire) – If you want to throw tomatoes at complete strangers and participate in a quest to find a gold ring with a bunch of other competitors, you should definitely make plans to check out Hwacheon Tomato Festival. The festival, which takes place in Gangwondo, will be held from July 30 to August 2 this year at the Hwacheon Culture Center.
The festival not only features various tomato-based cooking events, such as giant tomato spaghetti and sandwich tastings, but also tomato races, tomato eating competitions and tomato top building. A quest to find a 262 gram (9 oz) gold ring is another festival attraction.
