SEOUL, March 24 (Korea Bizwire) – South Korean boy band BigBang has won four awards at China’s 2016 QQ Music Awards, the group’s management said Thursday.
The band received the best music video, most popular foreign group and best-selling foreign digital album awards for “Bang Bang Bang,” with its leader G-Dragon being picked as the male artist of the year during the awards ceremony held in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen on Wednesday night, YG Entertainment said.
IKON, the budding boy group from the same talent agency, picked up two awards — the best new force group and album of the year by the media.
The QQ Music Awards is an annual event hosted by the leading Chinese online music site, QQ Music.
BigBang performed three of its hit songs — “Bang Bang Bang,” “Fantastic Baby” and “Loser” — during the ceremony with the last song performed in collaboration with the famous Chinese pianist Lang Lang.
The group is currently on a tour of eight Chinese cities to meet its fans.’
