BUSAN, Oct. 16 (Korea Bizwire) – In November of last year, the Amazon-Busan Cloud Innovation and Technology Center opened its doors for the first time.
Located at Dongseo University’s Centum Campus, the facility is backing a number of startups specializing in areas ranging from artificial intelligence and online gaming to the center’s main field of expertise, cloud services.
According to the city of Busan, October 17 will be ‘Membership Day’, an occasion to celebrate the opening of the display room and training area within the center.
The two areas will be used to hold training sessions and to discover and showcase innovative products and solutions from all over the world.
The center was founded thanks to a partnership between Busan and Amazon Web Services, the U.S. market leader in providing cloud computing platforms to customers.
Though the facility’s primary purpose is to be the company’s support center, it also provides consulting for cloud technology, specialized training programs and the formation of local startups.
Amazon Web Services Principle Solution Architect Nathan Beach and Busan Deputy Mayor Kim Young Hwan are expected to be in attendance on Membership Day.
