SEOUL, July 11 (Korea Bizwire) — Arrested former President Yoon Suk Yeol failed to appear Friday for questioning by a special counsel over his attempt to impose martial law.
Yoon’s lawyers said in a notice to the press that officials from the Seoul Detention Center, where Yoon has been in custody since his arrest early Thursday, delivered a written reason for absence to special counsel Cho Eun-suk’s team ahead of the scheduled questioning session at 2 p.m.
The special counsel team confirmed Yoon’s planned absence, saying he cited health reasons.
