SEOUL, July 17 (Korea Bizwire) – The British Council has opened its newly designed website (www.britishcouncil.kr) on July 16. The new site has strengthened interactivity and user convenience in reflection of user input. Earlier on the 10th, the British Council had launched a new app “British Council Verbs” for English learners on Apple App Store. The app was created by the British Council’s language instructors with long years of teaching experience, after the introduction of two earlier apps, “British Council Words” and “British Council Idioms.”
British Council Words, published in 2011, was given the “App of the Year” award by the Korea Internet Professional Association and won the second place prize from Apple Korea.
Roland Davies, director of the British Council Korea, said, “The British Council Korea has worked hard to strengthen the relationship between Korea and Britain in the areas of culture, arts, and education, in addition to language instruction, for the past 40 years. We will keep working to satisfy digital content needs of Koreans by introducing useful materials.”
