Seoul, Korea, Feb. 26 (Korea Bizwire) – GL Events China General Manager Mr. Jean Guillaume signed an MOU in Korea this morning with the Vice President of Coex Co., Ltd., Mr Hyung Bo Kim, at the Coex Convention & Exhibition Center’s offices in Gangnam, Seoul. The MOU covers basic areas of cooperation including mutual domestic representation and tradeshow expansion and development, as well as new initiatives such as the proposed co-bidding of international mega events.

Coex hopes that this MOU with GL Events will go some way to diversify its international exhibition and convention business, as well as providing a solid partner for GL Events in Korea. The Executive Vice President, Mr. Hyung Bo Kim, says “We are honored to be working alongside such an esteemed name in global events, and believe that a strong partnership can only be of benefit to both GL Events and Coex. We are excited to see where this MOU will take us in terms of providing new exhibition and events management services to our future clients.”

As part of new business strategy, Coex is seeing a shift from venue promotion to a focus on further developing its international events services. In addition to its positioning as a prime events venue, Coex also boasts in-house PCO and PEO teams, as well as units dedicated to the development of new business opportunities such as setting up joint ventures and partnerships abroad.

In addition, Coex is responsible for the management of Changwon and Gunsan Convention and Exhibition Centers in Korea, and runs a successful annual franchising exhibition in Vietnam. Coex aims to take its venue management expertise further afield this year, into developing MICE industries. Last month, Coex signed an MOU with the World Trade Center St. Petersburg also committing to cooperation domestically and in Russia.
