SEOUL, March 30 (Korea Bizwire) – Fire dogs will now gain access to better healthcare via regular veterinarian checks.
The National Fire Agency announced Monday that its National 119 Rescue Headquarters had signed an agreement with the Armed Forces Medical Research Institute for medical cooperation.
The National 119 Rescue Headquarters Rescue Dog Center has been treating fire dogs at private clinics. The new agreement will allow the canines to receive exclusive medical treatment from the institute.
The institute, with its ample experience in veterinary treatment and cutting-edge medical technology, will be able to treat canines in various emergency situations that may arise during rescue missions with much needed accuracy and effectiveness.
The Rescue Dog Center is currently home to 38 rescue dogs with additional 22 canines working for local fire stations.
