SEOUL, Sept. 19 (Korea Bizwire) — The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) said Wednesday it has established the Korean committee of the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC) to help promote China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
The FKI set up the committee at the request of the SRCIC. The Korean business lobby group will play a role in delivering information on the Chinese initiative to Korean companies for possible business opportunities, an FKI spokesman said.
The SRCIC, established in December 2015, has 129 member organizations from 77 countries.
China’s Belt and Road Initiative envisions win-win connectivity between multiple countries and is expected to bring plenty of opportunities to global companies.
