SEOUL, May 4 (Korea Bizwire) — Managers and employees of home visiting service providers, including gas meter readers, will be included as targets for the “violence prevention education outreach” program, the gender ministry said Wednesday.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family plans to provide violence prevention education and training on how to respond to incidents of violence to home visiting service providers, including gas meter readers, and care workers for the elderly and disabled.
In addition, it also plans to identify new targets who remain in blind spots of violence prevention education, including foreign workers, and support them by dispatching professional instructors or providing guides on educational programs.
Through the violence prevention education outreach program, the gender ministry has provided about 40,000 training programs for approximately 1.52 million people over the past ten years.
Specialized education tailored to meet the needs of targets is offered by professional instructors at 18 education support institutions across the country without any financial burden.
