SEOUL, Nov. 27 (Korea Bizwire) — Hanwha Ocean Co., a shipbuilding unit of chemical-to-aerospace conglomerate Hanwha Group, said Monday it has received a 163 billion-won (US$125 million) ammonia ship order from an unspecified client in the Oceania region.
Hanwha Ocean will build the ammonia carrier by September 2026 for the unidentified shipper in the Oceania region, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The company has obtained $3 billion worth of ship orders so far this year, achieving 43 percent of its annual order target of $6.98 billion.
Hanwha Ocean was formerly called Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. before it was acquired by Hanwha Group.
