SEOUL, June 24 (Korea Bizwire) – A group of Hungarian women will show off their skills in Korean traditional dances like Hwagwanmu or crown dance, Buchaechum (fan dance) and Jangguchum (dance with hourglass-shaped drum) in Korea. They have learned the Korean dances for three years at the Korean Culture Center in Budapest.
The Mugunghwa (rose of Sharon) Dancing Club, the fourteen member dancing group comprised of high school students, an accountant, teachers, public officers and broadcasters, will perform their dances in Seoul on July 5 and Jeonju on July 10. A member of the club said, “In Korean traditional dances, there is a ‘fullness’ that cannot be found in K-pop. It fascinates people with its graceful action while dancing.”
