SEOUL, Feb. 15 (Korea Bizwire) — Construction machinery manufacturer Hyundai Doosan Infracore Co. has created a new product that uses big data to cater to client needs.
The company recently held a performance brief on ‘DI 360’, a big data collaboration platform, and announced the way ahead for big data-based planning.
The platform is capable of collecting various types of data scattered across company sectors, using them for quick analysis and sharing.
The company used DI 360 to boost productivity, build an inventory management system and develop new products.
An analysis of data held by systems across the globe showed that South Korean clients prefer fuel efficiency, North Americans prefer engine speed, and Europeans prefer engine output.
In response, the new 21-ton wheel excavator (VDK21W) to be released in the European market this year focuses on the improved ‘Power+’ mode.
Unlike in the past when it took three weeks to estimate the life expectancy of construction vehicles, the DI 360 can do it in a single day.
