SEOUL, Feb. 22 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Glovis Co., a logistics unit of South Korean auto giant Hyundai Motor Group, is working with U.S. carmaker Tesla Motors Inc., industry sources said Friday.
Some 4,000 Model 3 electric vehicles (EVs) were loaded onto a Hyundai Glovis transport ship in San Francisco heading for Europe on Tuesday (local time), they said.
CEO Elon Musk earlier tweeted a photo showing a Hyundai Glovis vessel in port.
It is reportedly the first time that Hyundai Glovis has inked a shipping deal with Tesla.
Tesla earlier decided to begin sales of the affordable Model 3 EVs in Europe and China.
