SEOUL, Dec. 11 (Korea Bizwire) – Kim Junsu, better known as his stage name Junsu, a member of Korean boy pop group JYJ, was mired in a lawsuit involving unpaid construction bills of 5 billion won (US$4.55 million).
The Jeju Islanders Daily reported on December 10, “Kim Junsu of JYJ, who had been known to build a luxury hotel at the cost of 28.5 billion won in Jeju, was sued by contractors for not paying bills.” The article continued, “If Kim loses the lawsuit, he must pay back up to 5 billion won.”
According to the report, he commissioned the project to two contractors to build his Jeju Toscana Hotel and borrowed funds from Nonghyup Bank with the hotel and the site as collateral in two occasions in April and August this year.
