SEOUL, May 24 (Korea Bizwire)A South Korean garden in Britain is gaining attention and receiving praise from King Charles III at one of the world’s most prestigious horticultural events.

Korean garden designer Hwang Ji-hae on Monday (local time) unveiled a garden, “A Letter from a Million Years Past,” at the Chelsea Flower Show in London.

King Charles III expressed his admiration for the garden, using words like “I love it,” “brilliant,” and “marvelous” as he toured the garden.

During his visit, the King listened to commentary as he spent 7 minutes exploring the garden, surprising his bodyguards by deviating from the schedule to enter the garden himself.

Hwang, moved by the King’s unexpected interest, asked if she could give him a hug.

Accepting her offer, the monarch smiled and embraced the designer.

Inspired by an herb garden on the slopes of Mount Jiri, the second tallest mountain in South Korea, Hwang’s garden carries a message of environmental preservation through herbs and the prehistoric landscape of nature.
