Korea Post to Sublet Extra Space for Shared Offices and Kitchens

SEOUL, Sept. 3 (Korea Bizwire)South Korea’s postal service operator Korea Post announced that a new bill will be submitted to the National Assembly which allows for individuals authorized to use and profit from postal assets to re-lease them to a third party.

This bill considers the rising sublease demand driven by the expansion of shared offices and kitchens, and allows the public to gain more access to various postal assets. Prior approval will be required for a sublease.

Korea Post has been subletting extra space to the public to contribute to the efficient use of postal assets and generate additional revenue.

With last month’s new measures to offer additional discounts for small businesses, the total amount of discounts is expected to increase, Korea Post said.
