SEOUL, Jun. 30 (Korea Bizwire) — Korean men between twenty and fifty have been the most frequent buyers of Apple Watches since they were released in Korea on June 26.
Frisbee, an apple-centered store chain in Korea, studied the gender and age of customers who have purchased Apple Watches over the last four days, and said on June 29 that men in their twenties, thirties and forties made up the bulk of the customers.
The 42㎜ type Apple Watches have been much more popular, as the smaller 38㎜ type is more suitable for women and their smaller wrists.
The ‘Sports’ model, which costs a comparatively low 439,000 to 499,000 won (US$ 392 to 445), has been most popular among customers.
Apple Watches can currently be found at Apple Online, Frisbee, The A Shop and Willys stores in Korea.
Specialized personnel will be helping customers choose an Apple Watch at Frisbee stores, which are carrying all of the different models.
The ‘Edition’ model, which costs up to 22 million won (US$ 19,650), can only be found at Frisbee’s Myeongdong store.
Customers interested in this expensive model can make a phone reservation to personally try on the watch. Other models can be only reserved in-store.
