SEOUL, Jul. 27 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean professional baseball team KT Wiz announced plans on Wednesday to hold a water festival alongside upcoming home games at the Suwon Baseball Stadium.
Including the games against NC Dinos this weekend, and those with SK Wyverns and Doosan Bears scheduled for August, the ‘5G Water Festival’ will be held during a total of six games.
According to officials from the baseball team, the event returns this year with much more impressive features than in the past, including upgraded water cannons that will be fired every time a player scores a point or hits a home run, adding to the excitement as well as helping the crowd cool down in the sweltering summer heat.
In addition, drones will be deployed to shower the crowd in areas where water cannons can’t reach.
The water festival will also include the participation of cheerleaders, who will play a squirt gun fight with baseball fans from a lift four meters tall.
A giant water slide that is 45 meters in length will also be set up at the stadium, and will be open to anyone taller than 1.2 meters, even during the week when no games are scheduled.
