SEOUL, Dec. 7 (Korea Bizwire) — In the home appliance industry, European-style designs are now in vogue. In order to capitalize on the trend, LG Electronics has introduced two new European bottom-freezer refrigerator models targeting single families who take seriously designs as well as energy efficiency. The company put the 452-liter bottom-freezer refrigerator (model named R-M441GCV) on display at its LG Twin Tower in Seoul’s Yoido.
Bottom-freezer refrigerators, the refrigerators with the freezer section at the bottom instead of on top, are popular among European consumers for their convenience in utilizing small space. The new models come with luxury-looking curved metal designs, an easy open handle, and a three-drawer fridge section. By allowing the user to take out food from the drawers by opening the door at only a 90-degree angle, the models make it easier to use in a small kitchen space.
Following the 452-liter model launched late last year, LG will soon unveil a 320-liter model (model named R-M321GCV) this month. The new smaller model is even friendlier to those homes with limited kitchen spaces. Both refrigerator models are mounted with the Inverter Linear Compressor and have earned the industry-best energy efficiency rating.
