SEOUL, April 20 (Korea Bizwire)MORE THAN, a social enterprise fostered by SK Innovation Co., a major energy and chemical company, has embarked on a project to recycle marine debris to make fashion products.

Of all marine debris, fishing nets account for a fairly large share at 19 percent.

These fishing nets are saturated with salt and water and are mixed with foreign substances such as green algae, gulfweed, and household waste.

MORE THAN will develop eco-friendly fashion products with an eye to design and practicality, by upcycling discarded fishing nets.

The eco-friendly social enterprise also produces upcycled fashion products crafted from car seat leather and seat belts.
