SEOUL, Feb. 9 (Korea Bizwire) — Two sheep have taken up residence in a coffee shop called Yang Café (Sheep Café) in Seogyo-dong, Seoul. There are many cat cafés and dog cafés in Korea, but the sheep café marks a departure from coffee shops featuring common domesticated pets. Yang Café has recently adopted two sheep from the Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm in Pyeongchang, and has been raising them at the café. The café’s love for everything sheep does not end here. Visitors born in the year of the Sheep in the Chinese zodiac cycle can benefit from a 10 percent discount on every item served at the café.
The Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm, which was opened in 1988, is the only sheep farm in Korea, and has been a famous tourist destination for both Koreans and non-Koreans. The idyllic view of grazing sheep on hills along the eastern coast can be reached by a ten-minute drive from the Daegwallyeong Service Area in Pyeongchang.
