SEOUL, June 8 (Korea Bizwire) – The Ultra Music Festival Korea 2014, the gigantic music festival to be held at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul Sports Complex (Jamshil) for two days between June 13 and 14, is expected to attract thousands of visitors from countries like the United States, Japan, Singapore, and Indonesia. The organizers estimated the percentage of foreigners in the crowd would be more than 30 percent.

For the past two years, the Ultra Korea music event has grown at a solid clip by attracting 80,000 music lovers in 2012 and more than 100,000 in 2013. Of these, foreign visitors accounted for more than 20 percent.

Already, the organizers said about 20 percent of online reservations have been made from overseas, with VIP tickets sold more than 30 percent overseas. Given it is hard for foreign ticket buyers to go through the notoriously complicated authentication process, the actual foreign visitor numbers would be more than 30 percent.

In order to make it easier for foreign ticket buyers, the organizers have opened a new website called UC Tickets while adding more foreign language customer service operators.

In addition to UC Tickets that covers most Asian countries and the United States, the organizers worked with several local online ticket service providers such as iflyer of Japan and other in Indonesia and Vietnam to make it more convenient for foreign guests. Some travel agencies such as Hana Tour have offered a variety of tour packages putting together hotel stay, music festival admission, and others.
