CHANGWON, Oct. 20 (Korea Bizwire) — A man in his 50s with an intellectual disability was found in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, by a police sniffer dog one day after being reported missing.
After receiving a missing report on Monday, the police analyzed CCTV footage of the area and launched a full-scale search effort. Two sniffer dogs were mobilized.
The dogs carried out search activity from the entrance of a trail, the spot where he was last witnessed, to the upper part of the mountain.
And one of the dogs eventually found the man in the mountain forest.
Fortunately, he had not suffered any major injuries.
After being adopted in April and being trained by the police, the sniffer dogs entered service in July.
