In line with this year’s motto, “Bridging Worlds”, more than 500 international celebrities will be featured on six stages in a program filling over 200 hours. You can find the complete program of the dmexco Conference 2015 at http://dmexco.com/Conference2015. Bigger, more diverse, better: The number of brands, the range of topics, and the expertise of the speakers at the dmexco Conference will once again top those of previous years. In the high-caliber program of the dmexco Conference 2015, the most important pioneering thinkers and visionaries from the whole world of the marketing, media, and advertising business will bring together all the themes of the digiconomy on six stages at a single location.
One focus will be on the increasingly important theme of the “Internet of Things”, which visitors will be able to experience in numerous sessions at the dmexco Conference — for example at the global summit meeting titled “Bridging Worlds: Finding the Way to the Consumer”.
Here, leading thinkers such as Babs Rangaiah (Unilever), Troy Ruhanen (TBWA Worldwide), and Jacki Kelley (Bloomberg Media) will examine innovative options for addressing consumers. In his keynote speech, “Connecting with the Connected Consumer”, Raja Rajamannar (MasterCard) will reveal what options already exist today for moving into the new dimensions of “connected life”. This theme will also be covered in the session “World of Experience: The Internet of Marketing Things”.
And in the “Master Class: Disruptive Business, Reinvented Marketing and Value Creation” Georg Rötzer (Samsung) and Dr. Michael Trautmann (thjnk) will discuss new marketing strategies in the age of disruptive business models.
Efficient strategies for digital challenges
In his much-anticipated opening keynote speech on the first day of dmexco, Martin Sorrell (WPP) will, among other things, present initial strategies and possible solutions on the road to a new digital era from the perspective of the leading global agency network. Gabor Steingart (Handelsblatt) and Thomas Ebeling (ProSiebenSat.1 Media) will discuss how media companies should be positioning themselves today.
On the road to digital transformation
The panel discussion “Under Pressure: Transforming Brands into Digital” will show how brands can most efficiently manage the process of digital transformation. The panel participants will include Markus Haas (Telefonica), Marc Opelt (Otto), and Thomas Strerath (Jung von Matt). Concentrated womanpower applied to the digital transformation will be presented at “The Women’s Leadership Table”, where leading women in the sector, such as Sarah Mansfield (Unilever), Nicola Mendelsohn (Facebook), and Nikki Mendonca (OMD), will discuss the topic “Diversity, New Leadership & New Talents”. Also featured at dmexco will be other outstanding women such as Béatrice Guillaume-Grabisch (Nestlé), Dao Nguyen (Buzzfeed), Deirdre McGlashan (Mediacom), Jessica Federer (Bayer), and the business globetrotter Alisée de Tonnac (Seedstars World).
Creation, content, and storytelling make the difference
Amy Cole (Instagram) will present “Opening News: Instagram to announce — The next steps for Advertising” in her keynote speech. After all, relevant content is becoming a central success factor in digital communication. In a panel discussion titled “Visions of Leaders: The Content Revolution”, speakers including Mark Read (Wunderman), Lisa Utzschneider (Yahoo) and the former Procter & Gamble CMO Jim Stengel (The Jim Stengel Company) will discuss how companies can set the right course for the future within this context.
Summit meeting of the agency networks
Visitors to dmexco can also look forward to hearing first-hand reports on future-oriented visions and strategies from the international agency landscape. On hand, together with their teams, will be Sir Martin Sorrell, Mark Read, Michael Trautmann, Troy Ruhanen, Jonathan Nelson, and other heads of major global agency networks, such as Yannick Bolloré (Havas), Steve King (ZenithOptimedia), Henry Tajer (IPG Mediabrands), Nigel Morris (Dentsu Aegis), and Laura Desmond (Starcom MediaVest).
Video broadcasting: The new TV?
When we talk about content in the digital sector, we can’t avoid talking about animated image content. This topic will be discussed by speakers including Jimmy Maymann (Huffington Post), Erin McPherson (Maker Studio), Debbie Weinstein (Google), Shahrzad Rafati (BroadbandTV), and Jim Egan (BBC Global News) in various sessions (such as “The Game Changer Debate: TV Everywhere?” and “The Broadcast Future: Navigating the Advanced TV Space”). In the session “Starting Up: A Media Alliance for Enhancing Digital Synergies”, representatives of ProSiebenSat.1 Media, TF1, Channel 4, and the startups Amorelie and Jawbone will show to what extent broadcasters and startups benefit from one another.
Visionaries: Entrepreneurs, founders, pioneering thinkers
Above all, the digiconomy offers room for new ideas, individual projects, and innovative thinking. The pioneering thinker Terence Kawaja (Luma Partners) will offer an overview of the current situation in the Outlook Special “State of the Digital Union”. Visitors can look forward to hearing about further exciting strategies from Michael Kassan, who is pursuing a completely new approach at MediaLink. And the top decision-makers Adam Bain (Twitter) and John Battelle (NewCo) will be discussing “#TheMonetizationStory”.
In focus: (e-)commerce
Kate Kui from JD.com will give her audience exciting insights into China’s e-commerce during her Fireside Chat. Among other things, she will talk about how JD.com aims to achieve international success. The high-caliber panelists at the “Shopping Summit”, who will include Martin Wild (Media-Saturn-Holding) and Dr. Jean-Jacques van Oosten (Rewe), will discuss what the triumph of e-commerce means for the stationary retail trade and how retailers should be arming themselves for the future with digital technologies.
The road ahead: Visions for a digital future
Fresh and visionary ideas will be presented by the ultra-innovative media makers and agency decision-makers at “The National Summit: The Media Owner of the Future”. This discussion of who will “own” the media in the future will be conducted by renowned sector representatives such as Tina Beuchler (OWM), Zoja Paskaljevic (Dentsu Aegis), Lars Lehne (Google), Donata Hopfen (Axel Springer), and Torsten Ahlers (Otto Group Media). AOL’s Shingy (David Shing) and Jonathan Nelson (Omnicom) will stage an entertaining showdown called “Preaching (no) Innovations”. At the end of the second day of dmexco, leading traditional “evangelists” such as David Hayes (Tumblr) and Jeremy Tai Abbett (Google) will conclude the program at “The Prophet Session” with their forecasts about the digital future.
Christian Muche and Frank Schneider, both from dmexco: “Even though it’s wrong to praise ourselves, we have to congratulate our entire team. The conference program they have created for 2015 is without parallel in the digital economy. We are convinced that in the future business success will increasingly depend on whether companies can combine real and virtual worlds and digital and analog ones, and whether they can build bridges to the consumers of tomorrow. You can find out the best ways to do that at the dmexco Conference 2015! This year’s conference program will set new standards, thanks to the concentrated presence of the world’s elite decision-makers and the unique linking of all of the relevant topics and areas of the digital value chain. This is where companies will receive all the necessary inspiration, insights, and strategies that will enable them to successfully take off into a new digital era.”
