SEOUL, Dec 25 (Korea Bizwire) — Son Yeon-jae, a South Korean rhythmic gymnast, donated all the 10 million won prize money that she won in the MBN Women’s Sports Awards held in the evening of December 23 to the Salvation Army Korea.

Son said, “I always wanted to give back to society for love and support showered by my fans. I am thankful to MBN for giving me an opportunity to do good and I hope everyone could be happy during the holiday season.”

Separately, Son appeared on the cover page of the official website of the International Gymnastics Federation. In a feature story reviewing this year’s gymnastics highlights, her photo in ribbon was selected as the cover.

The story said, “Son Yeon-jae of South Korea won four gold medals out of five in the 2014 Lisbon World Cup becoming the first Asian rhythmic gymnast to win a medal in the all-around.”
