SEOUL, Jul. 26 (Korea Bizwire) — A collaboration between S.M. Entertainment and Hyundai Motor will see artists from one of the biggest South Korean entertainment companies hit the airwaves in a special mobile studio based on Hyundai’s Solati van.

The project dubbed ‘Solati Moving Studio’ was revealed on Tuesday to some surprise, as the unexpected partnership of two leading companies in the automotive and entertainment industries came to light.

Equipped with the latest audiovisual recording systems, lights and broadcasting systems, the Hyundai Solati creates a safe and sound studio environment that centers around users, even while on the move.

The ‘Solati Moving Studio’ was developed after an interior design update to the Hyundai Solati, which now features Nappa leather and metallic trim, with the help of a research team from Hyundai Motor and a design company, as well as S.M. Entertainment celebrities and sound engineers that worked on the British TV show ‘Top Gear’.

The new ‘studio van’ is scheduled to be deployed from next month, helping celebrities broadcast content for online media channels.

“This project began with the purpose of shedding light on the different roles vehicles can play apart from being a mere means of transport. We hope to continue our efforts to take on new challenges,” a Hyundai Motors official said.
