Samsung Drives Win-Win Growth Through Subcontractor Support

SEOUL, Aug. 31 (Korea Bizwire)Samsung Electronics Co. strives to attain win-win growth by offering consulting support to subcontractors in fields encompassing materials, components and equipment, with the goal of strengthening the foundation of the domestic semiconductor ecosystem.

The tech giant’s professional consultants visit subcontractors to evaluate their operational processes and offer customized solutions.

In the current year, a team of 17 employees will work as consultants across seven areas, encompassing manufacturing, quality and environmental safety.

During the first half of this year, Samsung extended consulting services to 25 subcontractors.

Kyung Kye-hyun, co-CEO at Samsung who is in charge of the tech giant’s chip business, emphasized via social media that establishing a symbiotic relationship is pivotal for success.

“Samsung’s chip division is cultivating win-win growth by cultivating robust partnerships with subcontractors in the semiconductor supply network ecosystem,” he said.

Besides subcontractor consulting, Samsung is also involved in a variety of support initiatives, such as tailored education, performance evaluation, pattern wafer production assistance, co-prosperity programs for underutilized facilities and the unfettered sharing of valuable patents.
