SEOUL, Nov. 5 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics has launched a 2G phone model “Master Dual” on November 4 through SK Telecom.
The Master Dual comes equipped with 3.0- and 2.2-inch dual LCD screens so that the user won’t have to open the clamshell when taking phone calls or checking text messages. The model is intended for those users in their 50s or older who account for about 65 percent of all 2G service subscribers. The latest model is a follow-up to the “Master” model introduced in May this year.
The Master Dual has a feature to check on the health of the user by alerting to a pre-designated number if the phone is not in use for a certain preset period of time. It also offers a GPS app, pedometer, and FM radio.
The model comes with a 3.0-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-end camera. By using the same micro USB and 3.5pi ear jack specs as the smartphone, it has enhanced compatibility and usability.
