Samsung’s New OLED Campaign With Esports Star Faker and Beatbox Champion Draws Nearly 1 Million Views

SEOUL, Aug. 20 (Korea Bizwire) — A new Samsung Electronics campaign video featuring esports legend Faker and world beatbox champion Wing has captured the attention of fans online, racking up more than 930,000 views within a week of release.

The film, titled “OLED: Feel the Champion’s Rhythm with T1,” pairs Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok of esports powerhouse T1 with Wing of the beatbox collective Beatpella House. Styled as a music video rather than a conventional ad, the video celebrates the artistry of two global icons at the top of their fields.

Samsung uses the collaboration to highlight the advanced gaming capabilities of its OLED televisions and monitors, including the world’s first 500-hertz refresh rate, glare-free displays, and burn-in protection technology.

Each feature is tied metaphorically to the skills and styles of T1 players — from lightning-fast rap verses symbolizing ultra-high refresh rates to mirrored shots of Faker and Wing illustrating anti-glare technology.

The campaign also includes four short-form videos, infused with memes popular among younger audiences, that reinterpret OLED features as sensory experiences.

According to industry data, the videos reached 698,000 views on YouTube, 64,000 on Facebook, and 170,000 on X (formerly Twitter) within seven days of launch.

Fans praised the unusual pairing, with comments such as, “A true meeting of kings,” and “Who knew a pro gamer and a beatboxer could blend so seamlessly?”

Behind-the-scenes footage from the project is slated for release on the YouTube channels of both T1 and Beatpella House in the coming weeks.
