SEOUL, Dec. 8 (Korea Bizwire) — SK Lubricants Co., South Korea’s leading lubricants producer, said Monday it would share its know-how on the recycling of waste plastics for the production of eco-friendly containers with related industries.
SK Lubricants’ eco-friendly container production technology has been used in its SK ZIC ZERO and SK ZIC WORLD SERIES engine oil products that were released in September.
The company revealed its intention to spread the environmental, social and governance (ESG) management principle throughout the industry by sharing its eco-friendly container production know-how with other lubricant sellers, including GS Caltex Corp., S-Oil Corp., and Hyundai Oilbank Co.
Furthermore, SK Lubricants also plans to continue to boost the proportion of recycled plastic content in the production of eco-friendly containers from the current 20 percent level.
Earlier this month, the company launched trial production and sales of containers that contain 30 percent recycled plastic content.
