SEOUL, May 26 (Korea Bizwire) — SK Telecom Co., South Korea’s top mobile carrier, said Wednesday it will open an online dance studio on its metaverse platform ifland in collaboration with dance studio/management agency 1MILLION Dance Studio.
“One Million Land” is the second achievement of the metaverse culture project that SK Telecom has been carrying out since May 2021 after signing a business agreement with the Korea Creative Content Agency.
Together with an offline dance studio, 1MILLION Dance Studio currently runs a YouTube channel with about 25 million subscribers.
SK Telecom said that it will unveil 17 dance classes in an online lecture format at One Million Land by the end of next month.
In addition, 45 different types of avatar dance motions and five One Million dancer costumes will be released at ifland. Starting next month, the service will also host an avatar dance challenge using Instagram Reels.
In addition, SK Telecom will exclusively unveil a dance battle-type original content “SHOW KING” at ifland early next month.
