SEOUL, July 19 (Korea Bizwire) — SK Telecom Co., South Korea’s top wireless carrier, said Tuesday it has launched a video control solution utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology for video recognition to monitor various accidents.
Developed in collaboration with local software development company Innodep, the solution utilizes video recognition AI technology to analyze individuals, vehicles, and motorcycles captured in CCTV footage, providing control personnel with information about accidents and unusual situations.
The solution has been enhanced to distinguish 13 different human features, including gender, age, hair length, attire type, and color. These features can be utilized to locate missing children, seniors, and criminal suspects.
Furthermore, the solution can analyze both medium to large vehicles such as cars, trucks, and buses, as well as small vehicles like bicycles and motorcycles.
