SEOUL, Korea, July 26 (Korea Bizwire) – Sony Computer Entertainment Korea will host the ‘Gran Turismo 6 Time Trial Competition’ from July 29 to August 26 for players in Asia. The competition will be played on Sony’s PlayStation®3(PS3™) ‘GT Academy 2013,’ and will be held for players in Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
Users who already have a Sony Entertainment Network account can participate free of charge. Simply download ‘GT Academy 2013’ from the PlayStation®Store, complete the tutorial and all the events, and then play the 2013 bonus event, ‘The Final Trial.’
The competition will be a ‘Time Trial’ of seeing who records the fastest time on a particular track. The track for the competition will be the Silverstone Circuit, which is where the final of the actual GT Academy to train professional drivers from Europe and North America.
Participant’s time will be recorded automatically and there are no limits on the number of times each player can play. The GT Academy 2013 is the trial version of ‘Gran Turismo 6’ to be released later this year and was designed in collaboration with Nissan Motors. Within the game Lucas Ordóñez, the first GT Academy champion in 2008, appears as an instructor and explains how to play the game so that even first-time users can learn the basics of driving easily.
