AUSTIN, Texas, July 2, 2014 (Korea Bizwire)–Texas Health and Science University is pleased to announce today that the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), has approved the expansion of its scope of accreditation to include the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program. This affirms the consent given by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), the University’s programmatic accreditor for the doctoral program.

Our administrative staff have worked hard to reach this new milestone.” Texas Health and Science University is the first ACICS-accredited institution in Texas to offer a doctoral-level program, and first in the nation the first to offer an ACICS-approved doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Chinese Medicine. The program is set to launch in September 2014.
Texas Health and Science University is a comprehensive, for-profit educational institution.
