SEOUL, Feb. 8 (Korea Bizwire) — The fantasy flick “Wonka” has attracted more than 1 million moviegoers in South Korea, Warner Bros. Korea said Thursday, becoming the fastest film this year to hit the box office milestone.
Since its local release last Wednesday, the Timothee Chalamet-starring film has remained atop the local box office chart, with the highest advance ticket sales of 23.2 percent.
The musical fantasy film depicts the early days of Willy Wonka, a character in the 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.
