SEOUL, July 6 (Korea Bizwire) – Yankee Stadium, the home of Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees, will install LED lighting from next season. KMW, a Korean LED lighting fixture manufacturer, announced on July 5 that it had entered into an agreement with the baseball club to replace its lighting with SUFA-X 1,000 watt LED lighting. The company has already replaced the lights at Safeco Field in Seattle, home of the Mariners, with LED models.
According to KMW, the LED lights will help reduce glare and shadows at Yankee Stadium, while offering a 20 percent increase in brightness compared to its competitors. In addition, they will improve the HD viewing experience at home as the lights provide better color rendering and no flicker.
