BUSAN, Oct. 18 (Korea Bizwire) — The 2021 Sea Art Festival co-hosted by the city of Busan and the Busan Biennale Organizing Committee took place on Saturday at Ilgwang Beach.
The festival, which runs until Nov. 14, will feature 36 artists from 13 countries including India, Indonesia, the U.S, Britain and Turkey, showcasing 22 artworks.
‘Non-/Human Assemblages’ is the theme for this year. The word ‘assemblages’ refers to three-dimensional shapes created by combining various objects.
“Ilkwang beach is home to a fishing village that has sandy beaches, streams, bridges, parks, and estuaries, which makes it perfect to showcase the intent of the exhibition and its artworks,” said Ritika Biswas, artistic director of the exhibition.
