SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Korea Bizwire) — Almost half of all adults in South Korea have failed to receive appropriate emergency medical treatment following the coronavirus outbreak.
Seoul National University Hospital conducted a survey of 2,097 South Korean men and women, 39.6 percent of whom said they chose not to undergo proper emergency medical treatment following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The primary reason was that they were afraid of entering in contact with virus patients (29.1 percent).
Another 25.8 percent of respondents delayed health examinations following the outbreak, 61.3 percent of whom were worried that they might encounter a coronavirus patient.
