SEOUL, Dec. 1 (Korea Bizwire) — Female shoppers in their 30′s have been spending the most at a local online shopping mall this fall, industry data showed Friday.
South Korea’s major online shopping operator and ticketing company Interpark Corp. said 21 percent of its customers between October and the second week of November were women in their 30′s.
“People in their 30′s and 40′s are the age brackets that lead consumption,” said Interpark in a press release, adding that insulated clothing and other items related to cold weather were among the bestsellers.
The company also said 48 percent of those who purchased plane tickets for overseas travel were lone travelers.
The data showed that 7.4 percent of the people traveling alone chose Osaka as their travel destination, which was followed in popularity by Bangkok.
