SEOUL, Jul. 31 (Korea Bizwire)South Korea’s largest logistics company will team up with the police to foster neighborhood safety.

CJ Logistics Corp. announced on Tuesday that it has joined hands with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency (SMPA) to educate 100 delivery personnel on traffic safety, crime prevention, and finding missing persons.

Traffic specialists from the police agency also came to educate the CJ employees on safety regulations related to trucks and other vehicles for business use.

CJ Logistics signed an agreement with the SMPA in April of last year, and has since conducted five training sessions with over 350 trainees.

Delivery personnel each have their own managing sectors, which makes it easier for them to spot damaged public facilities, accidents, and other sudden changes in the neighborhood.

The company believes that this could work in favor of effective policing. Last April, a delivery man rescued a baby in a stroller that was rolling into the path of traffic.
