SEOUL, Sept. 12 (Korea Bizwire) — Kangwon Land casino, located in Jeongseon County, Gangwon Province, was found to be the most visited tourist destination for Kakao Corp.’s vehicle navigation users over the past year.
According to a recent report released by Kakao, Kangwon Land was the number one destination for people going to restaurants and cafes based on a yearlong database from July of last year to June of this year.
Ranking second was Everland, a theme park in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
The third to sixth places, including Eurwangni, Daecheon, Gwangalli and Haeundae Beach, were all famous beaches of South Korea.
A majority of the top 20 tourist attractions were found to be beaches and coasts.
Kakao Mobility Corp., the transportation affiliate of Kakao, said, “We can clearly see the love of the sea by Koreans who are surrounded on three sides by the sea.”
Meanwhile, the ninth place was surveyed as the Korean Folk Village, which is enjoying popularity with its quirky character dress up.
