SEOUL, Dec. 4 (Korea Bizwire) — Starbucks Korea announced on Thursday that it had opened a new shop where half of the employees are persons with disabilities.
The new shop is located at the Central Dental Treatment Center for Persons with Disabilities within the Seoul National University Dental Hospital in Seoul. Six out of the shop’s 12 employees are persons with disabilities.
The shop has a braille menu, with a three-dimensional braille map called ‘Chokjido’ being installed at the entrance.
Braille-based guidance is also installed throughout the shop, including the places where customers order and pick up beverages.
The shop will share some of its profits with the center to help low income persons with disabilities to be able to undergo dental surgery.
