SEOUL, Feb. 19 (Korea Bizwire) — KT Corp., a major South Korean telecom operator, said it will launch an artificial intelligence (AI) service for a postpartum clinic in Gangseo District, Seoul.
The company realized the non-face-to-face service by using technologies and solutions employed in its AI Hotel service.
Guests of the postpartum clinic can request supplies like maternity clothes via KT’s AI speaker GiGA Genie without the need to make a phone call to the reception desk or newborn nursery room.
The speaker allows new mothers to control room facilities with voice commands, while enabling them to request consultations with professionals, meetings with family members, massaging and breast-feeding.
The manager can cope with the service requests made via the GiGA Genie by checking them at a special admin page.
The GiGA Genie also automatically plays music for the newborns during the time that they spend together with their mothers at the clinic.
